Material Transfer’s (Allegan, MI) latest unit addresses concerns related to the commonly practiced "forklift conditioning method," such as bag breakage, plant structural damage, forklift damage or injury to plant personnel. According to the company, this new, patented system utilizes hydraulically actuated pivoting conditioning arms with extended travel and features "v-shaped" tubular breaker profiles to efficiently return even the most severely agglomerated materials to a free-flowing state. A powered rotary lift table and turntable positions the bulk bag for complete material conditioning on all sides, as well as the top and bottom. The unit features easy-to-use momentary contact controls and acrylic guarding on three sides for operator safety, and an ultra-compact footprint provides a solution for limited facility space.
