Carbontec's (Hallandale Beach, FL) heating system reduces costly energy consumption associated with air temperature manipulation by warming the surfaces of the interior instead, providing greater thermal comfort throughout.
Carbontec’s paper-thin radiant heat systems measure at 0.2 mm, or about 1/7th of the thickness of a penny. The Carbontec 251-L material includes copper conducting strips that energize the heater film. The system also utilizes 500 and 1000 watt step-down transformers to provide a lower amount of voltage to the material. The transformers can handle up to four individual heater strips plastered onto ceiling space or installed under flooring to provide radiant heat to the enclosure’s interior.
